King's Speech

What can I say?! This movie really lived up to its name. All the awards that they achieved were really deserving. This, for those who are not aware of the Britains' history, would find this amazing and intriguing.

Who would ever expect that the King has speech imparement? Public Speaking, which is a "to do task" is not a easy job as it seems to be. For those who actually experienced delivering a presentation, would know how that feels.

The King may not be frightened of speaking in front of the public, but rather, the speech defect is what frightens him (I believe).

The story line, actors and directors, I have to say, did an excellent job in producing such an exquisite piece of production.

Watch it, you would not regret paying (regardless of it borrowing a DVD or going to the movies), the money and time will be well spent.

最高な作品でした。まさか王様がスピーチに困るなんて、一般人には思っていないサプライズーでした。
この物語は本当におきたことです。
もちろん、ほとんどの人間はパブリックスピーチ苦手かもしりませんが、この王様の場合は、普通に人の前で喋るのでもう困ってるのに、どうやって全国の前の喋るんだロー？それは、それは一段のチャレンジでした。自信はあるかもしれないけど、ちゃんと話せない原因でその唯一の自信もだんだん失ってしまう。

とりあえず、すばらしい映画でした。
時間やお金の無駄にはなりません！

The Adjustment Bureau

Initially when I watched the trailer, I was a little skeptical. It was actually the movie critics that gave me some confidence in watching this movie. Believe me, those movie critics you find online is pretty accurate. If you don't want to risk wasting money, then check out the reviews first.
Of course, everyone has a different opinion about the quality of the movie. And they are definitely free to comment on what they think. Thus, if you believe in your so-called gut feelings, then go for it!

Ok, let's talk a little about The Adjustment Bureau. This movie reminds me of my father telling me "your life is fated, but don't just sit there and wait for things to happen". This movie is exactly what life is about. Just a summary of the movie:
The main actor Matt Damon has a history with the main actress Emily Blunt. They were apparently fated to be together since 100 years ago. However, their fate changed in this present day. I understand that it is a little bit fictional that there are "life adjustment people" who exist to change our individual's life. It was to a point where, "ok, this is ridiculous.". But! The inclusion of such characters actually added a sense of thrill to the movie.

Alot of things happened. So, in a nut shell, Matt Damon fought with his so-called "pre-determined" fate and chased after what he thinks his life should really be like.
The ending? Go check out the movie! Two thumbs up for the story line and effects!

結構な話です。よく周りの人が言う事”私達の人生ってもう決められてるんだよ”って。
運命的な出会いだとか、そ言う話は結構この映画に出てます。ちょっとは本当って感じだったけど、話の流れはすばらしかったです。自分の人生は自分で決めるって言う熱心な考えはこの映画の中での注目なポイントです。
一生懸命戦ってて、どんなチャレンジでも乗り越える話でした。
最後どうなった？好きな人とは一緒になれた？って思ってますよね。
それは、お楽しみに～

The Switch

Chick Flick movie for Jennifer Aniston's fans. Have to be honest about this movie. It is really not that good. Out of a 5 stars rating, I would give 2 stars. Probably the rumors about Jennifer is right. She maybe suitable to act in sitcoms or maybe the role that she acted didn't give much of an "acting expression". She was alright but the storyline is just not "smooth". The flow is not as good as I would think it is. However, there are of course scenes that are like "aww..." especially when Thomas Robinson who acted as Sebastian was really good.
The storyline is really simple and straightforward, to a point where you can actually predict what happens next. It is about a woman who wants to be a mother so badly that she chooses to go for sperm donors. "The Switch" in this movie, probably refers to how the donor's "offerings" were switched with that of receiver's best friend. Of course, in the movie, it shows how the kid and the so-called switched donor had awful lot of similarity in behavior. So...what do you expect in a chick flick movie...the ending? definitely a "happily ever after". It is not a bad movie but maybe I wouldn't spend $10 for a seat in the theaters.

うん。。。って感じかな？ジェ二ファー・アニストンの演技は本当にいまいちです。それより、映画の内容は本当に一般。途中から見ても、結局どうなるのが分かる。多分、え～って時もあるけど、でもそれは子供役のトムソン・ロビンソンが演技したサべションです。映画の内容はジェ二ファーが母親になりたくてしょうがない時期に、突然意外のアイデアーが浮かべた。っで彼女は結婚の選択じゃなく、シングルマザーを選択した。精子を提供する男性を探し、病院で手術を受ける。
でも、まさかの転回で、精子がスイッチされた。その精子の持ち主は実は彼女の親友でした。
まーこの後は想像できるでしょー
この映画は暇の時見るのに最高かも知りませんが、わざわざ映画館に行く必要はどうでしょ～？

Karate Kid

The classic is back..."Wax on...Wax Off" but how's the new version of Karate Kid like? First of all, I think the title is inappropriate. Each martial art is given a different and unique name. Regardless of it being Japanese, Chinese or Korean, all martial arts are named differently so as to be distinguishable. However, this new movie starring Jackie Chan was about Chinese Martial art, also widely known as Kung Fu. So, conclusion is that they used the wrong name for the wrong martial art.

The story line is similar to the classics. Discipline is the moral of the story. To know or having the knowledge to fight is not about showing off. Rather, it is to self-defense and to learn the basics of discipline. Therefore, it does not conclude on how well you know your martial art but how well you know the meaning of martial arts.

I wouldn't watch this movie in the theaters, but I wouldn't mind borrowing DVDs and watch it at home.

オリジナルバージョンとにてる。ただ、今回は空手ではなく中国のコンフーです。内容的にはおなじかな？
キャストーはもちろんオリジナルバージョンと違う。ジェキー・チャン　とウィル・スミスの息子ジェーデン・スミスが先生と生徒の役です。
映画のロケーションは中国です。
この映画には評論しずらいなーだってこの映画が伝いたいことは、武士道っていうのは、自分の能力や才能を自慢することではなく、自己防衛の為。わざわざ映画館で見る必要はないかな？

Knight and Day

An alternative version of Mr. and Mrs Smith?! That's right! This recently released movie "Knight and Day" acted by Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz is a must watch (at least for me). The storyline has similarities with Mission Impossible as well as Mr. and Mrs Smith.

I have to say though, I really like how the combination of comedy, romance and action are all combined together. Although a simple story, it is all the action behind it that drives audiences' interest.

But wow! The pairing of these two was really a very daring yet fresh idea. Tom still has the vibe and Cameron still has the charm! The ending was just great! Just as I was expecting...fun!

別バージョンのミスター＆ミセス　スミス？！トム・クルーズ　と　カメロン・ディアズ　は新鮮なコンビですね！
映画の物語は簡単だけど、最高に面白い（＾＾）。
内容的はなんとなくミショーンイムポブルとにてる。ただキャストが違うだけ？
アクション＋コメディー＋ロマンスのコンビは上手に混ざっています。
時間があれば是非見てください！

Sex and The City 2

Calling all girls! SATC is back in town! However, I am quite on-the-fence about this movie. Although people say that nothing is impossible, but what are the odds to meet your former boyfriend in the middle of a dessert?!

Starting with the regular and fun scenes, it was really nice to see how the four girl friends are getting on with their life. Though nothing much have change, besides Charlotte's daughters are getting bigger, Miranda is as career minded as ever but with a hint of motherly-ness towards her son, Samantha as flirtatious as ever and lastly, Carrie, as in love...with man and shoes as ever!

The story line generally is entertaining. Not so much of "how real is that?", but it gives us a glimpse of how fortunate and lucky women lead their life in New York City. Bear in mind everyone, this story is fictitious and does not apply to everyone who lives in the U.S.!

This movie is not as bad as what the reviews criticized (on movie reviews), but I would say SATC the original movie was better. Maybe I am a realist but I think the story line in part 1 is more generalizable in our regular non-celeb life.

If you need something to do but not sure what to do, go watch this movie. It is entertaining and it serves as a "time-off" from you hectic life.

ＳＡＴＣ　パート２は面白かったけど、現実にはありえない物語です。
でも、一つ、彼女達の友情本当に尊敬するわ！どう自分の人生歩んでも、友の存在を忘れず、付き合いは続く。
アラブ方面の旅行は以上に贅沢だと思います！私にとって最後のシーンは一番面白かったかな？アラブ女性の衣装は皆同じ。自分の顔や肌は自分の旦那さんや家族以外の人には見せられないんです。
でも、驚きなのは、その黒いローブの下に、まさかセクシーなお洋服を着ていた！　これは現実です！

あと。。。砂漠の国に元彼にばったり会うチャンスってありえますか？！このシーンはちょっと現実向きじゃないね。

面白い映画だが、わざわざ映画館で見る必要はないかも知りませんね。

The Twilight Saga- Eclipse

Speechless! Another fantastic work from Stephenie Meyer and applause to the Director- David Slade! This series was very intense. Much of the story content dwells upon the relationship between Jacob, Bella and Edward. Of course, it is also this ruthless battle between the new borns and the Collin clan.
However, it was really interesting to find out some of the past of the Collin vampires. No doubt I agree with Rosalyn that Bella has a choice; she has freedom right now but once she is changed, her "want" might not be the same as before. It is so true as the saying goes "The pasture on the other side is always greener".

As for Jacob, the impression or rather the character that he portrays is so persistent and aggressive. Much as I like to say that he is a hunk, his attitude towards courting a girl is way over my league. Of course, some girls prefer that, and some doesn't. Which are you?!

Edward in this series is very "mature". The conversation that they had during the storm was very amusing. It was not within my expectation that he is so understanding. He is aware of his status and his ability to make Bella happy. That comment that he made about Jacob being there for Bella was very intriguing. I think it is very generous of him to even say that. I would definitely say that he is much more stable-clear mind- in comparison to the young Jacob.

Bella, gosh, isn't she just lucky? Showered with so much love by the people around her!
Precisely, making a decision between the two guys is really difficult and I don't blame her for that. Both men are willing to sacrifice themselves for her...so what more can you ask for?

Who did she choose to be with in the end? That is something you have to find out by yourself.

Two Thumbs UP for this awesome movie!

最高なストーリでした！もちろんコリン一家とニューボンのバトルもあったけど、注目なのはその熱中の恋話でした。
意外とジェイクは自分の気持ちをはっきり言う人だったんですね。それって自分が狼になったからかな？
その負けず嫌いな性格はかなりびっくりしました。

エドワードはもちろんべラーしか見てないけど、この映画の中では、結構大人って感じがしました。
それって過去からの経験だからかな？

べラーって本当に幸せだね！イケメンの二人に愛されてて。彼女も結構悩みましたね。
だって、普通の一般女性から見ても悩むことだから。。。
っでべラーは誰を選んだかな？
